I have been a gunsmith for over 30 years building match guns as well as shooting them. Thru the years I have worked part-time as a pistol smith for local gun shops and many Police Departments. I presently work as the armor for one of the local Police Departments.
Preventative maintenance is probably the most important function in all types of shooting, especially in law enforcement. Armors gunsmiths and gun shops are looking for the best of the best in lubricants. Some are too greasy, some do nothing and some gum up under certain conditions. We have always had a huge need for a lube that works. I have tested many and continue to do so. I have found one that works and does what it is suppose to do. A dry film lube that impregnates the metal. I feel Microlon products work. It performs better than any I have ever tested. It cleans and protects and most importantly keeps the weapon lubricated, with no build up in critical areas. If the weapon does not function, pistol, rifle or shotgun the problems could be many and serious. I suggest you use Microlon. |
