How to Treat Installation Sites

 

 "Just installed the ICE into my 1999 GMC Jimmy.  Prior to installing the air temp coming from the center AC vents was 51°F, after installing the ICE the temp change was incredible, it dropped below 38°F and we needed to turn down the blower speed to keep from freezing.  I tried to monitor the compressor temperature but was diffiicult due to the engine fan blowing hot air in the way of the infra-red termperature monitor, but it did look as if we had a 10° drop in the operation of the compressor also the high side pressure was reduced from 160psi to 150psi.  The outside temperature and humidity was 93°F/89%.  I would believe the results speak for themselves as the product does have a positive effect on the overall performance of the HVAC system and would highly recommend it.

 "In 2007, we installed two new roof top heater/air conditioning units on our industrial building. One for the front office and another unit for the back of the building which is divided by a firewall.  After they ran for a few months making sure there was not a problem with the units or there installation, we decided to treat the unit above the front office with UltraBlue Ice.  Sizing the unit, we decided that 4 ounces of UltraBlue Ice is all that is required.  We had the installation company come out and do the job.  They first purged all oil and reinstalling to proper level but first installing 4 ounce of the UltraBlue Ice.

If the product were to work we would expect to see a cooler air in a shorter time in a given area.

This is the before and after numbers:
Before:  The unit was shut off the night before to see what would happen and how long it would take.  The outside temperature was 82°F, the inside temperature was 75°F upon arriving in the morning and noting temperatures, we turned the unit on.  It ran continously for 78 minutes before shutting off for the first time.  The thermostat was set at 70°F and when it reach that temperature it shut off.  We repeated this start-up procedure for a few days as the temperature remained in the same area.

After:  Again the unit was shut off the night before to see what would happen and how long it would take.  The outside temperature was 81°F, the inside temperature was 75°F.  Noting the temperatures we turned the unit on.  It ran continously for 54 minutes before shutting off for the first time.  It took 24 minutes less to reach the 70°F temperature that the thermostat was set to.   Again, we repeated this start-up procedure for a few more days.

The end result is that we are seeing an area 2040 sq. ft. cool down 24 minutes faster.  In the past, the coldest temperature recorded coming out of the ceiling vents was 66°F at 3 feet.  Since we treated the unit, it is now recording 57°F, that is 9° cooler.  So with the UltraBlue Ice application we are seeing faster cooling times and more constant building temperatures.  Now when the unit cycles, it runs for a shorter periods of time.  An all around energy savings with the unit running for fewer hours per day and week.
